Owner

My name is Margaret Mackey. I am the proud owner of iTutorOneOn1 Inc. and author of The Little Blue Bird. We work with students from Preschool to 12th grade across all subject areas including EOC Exam and SAT Prep.

I opened in 2020, towards the end of COVID, with this idea to have a safe clean space for students to learn. I started off small with about 20 students and just me. We have grown and expanded into a new space with 5 offices and a waiting room! I now have a team of amazing tutors working with over 70 students a week from schools across Palm Beach County. Our students come from public, charter and private schools with many different needs and goals.

I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Lynn University in 2008. I have been teaching Elementary School for over 17 years with experience across multiple grades and subjects with a focus on ESE students.

Teaching is my absolute passion. I love supporting and working with families to achieve academic goals and build confidence. The more you practice, the better you get! We have so many strategies and years of combined experience to support all learners on their journey.

Our Story

Over my years of teaching I have built a deep understanding of ways to make learning fun and show gains. All children are different which means that they will receive and retain learning differently. I am aware of the rigor and expectations within the actual classroom and work in it every day. Having this tutoring center has allowed me to foster so many different learners and create an individual plan that encourages them within their strengths but also allows the freedom (without the politics of the school system) to use the pacing and strategies needed to close the gaps that exist.

After the initial consultation with me, we will come up with a plan just for your child. I have endless resources and ideas whether the goal is skill based or academically driven or as enrichment. Each session is one on one for one hour. All the tutors are either teaching currently or retired and missed the interaction with students. We are all passionate about teaching and look forward to supporting each students academic journey. I have developed a strong set of skills and have a proven track record of success. I want to continue to support and encourage these learners to overcome the struggles and feel their successes.
